About the role
Applied Technical Services (ATS) is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its Inspection business in non‑destructive testing (NDT), Mechanical Integrity, and Reliability Services. The role is based in Huntsville, AL and focuses on building profitable, sustainable revenue streams through strong client relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve year‑over‑year revenue growth targets set by ATS leadership.
- Maintain and update opportunities in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, ensuring accurate forecasting.
- Develop business plans for target markets, outlining customer base, revenue projections, and entry barriers.
- Identify and recruit qualified personnel to support new service offerings.
- Establish C‑suite and mid‑level relationships to position ATS as a long‑term partner.
- Collaborate with operations to convey customer feedback, align bid responses, and coordinate scheduling.
- Prospect new opportunities using databases, social media, and industry research.
- Represent ATS at trade shows for lead generation and mentor new sales team members as needed.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of commercial sales experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in NDT, Mechanical Integrity, or Reliability services.
- Proven ability to meet revenue targets and manage a sales pipeline.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
Required skills
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM (or Salesforce) proficiency.
- Knowledge of NDT, Mechanical Integrity, and Reliability Services.
