About the role
TGS is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join its Cairo team and drive growth of the Multi‑Client business across Egypt and the Mediterranean. The role will focus on identifying new investment opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening relationships with senior government, regulator and client stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Develop new Multi‑Client opportunities and projects in Egypt, preparing investment cases in collaboration with the BD team.
- Prepare and deliver client proposals and presentations for internal and external review.
- Work strategically with key client teams to identify and pursue new revenue opportunities.
- Gather market intelligence on client, partner and competitor activity to assess emerging opportunities.
- Maintain and expand government and regulatory relationships across the region.
- Drive data‑marketing initiatives and licence‑agreement renewals within agreed timelines.
- Navigate government approval processes for block awards, licence rounds, permitting, seismic acquisitions and exploration activities.
- Manage contractual commitments throughout the life of Multi‑Client agreements, including localized marketing, conference presentations and training.
- Collaborate with Operations, Legal, Finance, Contract, Imaging and external partners to deliver solutions.
Required profile
- Proven experience in business development within the energy or data‑intelligence sector.
- Strong geopolitical and commercial insight relevant to the Mediterranean region.
- Demonstrated ability to engage senior government, regulator and client stakeholders.
- Track record of generating Multi‑Client revenue and building strategic partnerships.
- Excellent market‑intelligence and analytical capabilities.
