Business Intelligence Analyst

About the role

The Business Intelligence Analyst transforms raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic and operational decisions. You will design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data models while ensuring data quality and performance. The role works closely with business stakeholders to translate KPI requirements into technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain BI reports and interactive dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
• Analyse business requirements and convert them into detailed technical specifications.
• Write, optimise and tune SQL queries, views and data models for efficient data retrieval.
• Validate data accuracy, perform troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for reporting issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics and reporting needs.
• Document data definitions, business logic and report specifications.
• Support ad‑hoc analysis requests and contribute to ongoing data initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights to non‑technical audiences.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Experience working in a call‑center environment is a plus.

Required skills

• SQL (query writing, performance tuning, joins, subqueries).
• Power BI, Tableau or Looker for data visualisation.
• Data modelling concepts (star schema, fact and dimension tables).
• Excel (advanced formulas, dashboard creation, automation).
• Power Query for data transformation.
• PowerPoint for high‑quality presentations.
• Understanding of data warehouses and ETL processes.
