Capital Projects Manager

About the role

The Capital Projects Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects within the bank’s capital portfolio. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with the organisation’s standards and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating business needs and develop the project Business Case.
• Secure approved business case and budget from the project manager.
• Organise required meetings, workshops and maintain reporting and change‑control mechanisms with stakeholders.
• Prepare project release framework aligned with bank standards and execute implementation plans.
• Define project interdependencies and manage risk, opportunities, changes and issues.
• Determine service readiness, develop roll‑out strategies and ensure deliverables meet agreed timelines and budgets.
• Prepare contracts, designs, drawings and select tools prior to implementation.
• Collaborate with quantity surveyors to monitor spend against budget.
• Supervise construction works, enforce site safety and communicate progress to the Capital Projects Head.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 3–6 years of experience in a construction environment or project‑based work site.
• Knowledge of local and international construction laws, regulations and guidelines.
• Proven budget management experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and commercial awareness.
