Category Lead, Procurement

About the role

The Category Lead, Procurement will shape and execute strategic sourcing initiatives for both capital (CAPEX) and operational (OPEX) spend, ensuring cost efficiency and supplier excellence across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for CAPEX and OPEX.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities including RFP/RFQ creation, negotiation and contracting.
• Manage procurement of capital equipment and project‑related purchases.
• Oversee indirect categories such as IT, facilities management, professional services and MRO.
• Drive cost savings, value creation and monitor supplier performance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Operations and Business Units to optimise costs and ensure commercial excellence.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, maintain documentation and audit readiness.
• Promote ethical sourcing and sustainability practices.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities.

Required profile

• BSc in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 7‑9 years of experience in Procurement or Category Management.
• Strong experience in CAPEX and OPEX sourcing.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Project, Word, Excel and Outlook.
