Chief Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to lead our finance team at a leading events company based in Nasr City, Cairo. The role combines strategic oversight of accounting functions with hands‑on management of tax compliance and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting, ensuring accurate financial statements and timely reporting.
• Manage taxation matters, including Egyptian tax regulations, VAT, and statutory compliance.
• Lead the implementation and maintenance of the Odoo ERP system, providing hands‑on support and training.
• Supervise and develop the accounting team, fostering strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience with proven expertise in taxation and financial reporting.
• At least 5 years of practical experience using Odoo ERP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or CMA is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax regulations, VAT and statutory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
