Chief Engineer – Pre-Opening Mixed-Use Campus

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead the engineering operations for a new mixed‑use campus slated to open in 2027 in 6th of October City, Giza, Egypt. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for planning, commissioning, operating and maintaining all engineering systems while building a high‑performing team and ensuring the campus is ready for opening.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all engineering operations, including MEP, HVAC, fire & life safety, utilities, elevators and building systems.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Manage contractors, projects, budgets and technical service providers.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Drive sustainability, asset performance and continuous improvement.
• Build, coach and lead the engineering team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management or a related discipline.
• 8–12+ years of engineering or facilities management experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in MEP systems, HVAC, BMS, CMMS/CAFM, fire & life safety and asset management.
• Experience in mixed‑use, hospitality, education, healthcare, residential or large campus environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills in Arabic and English.
