Chief Information Technology Officer

About the role

The Chief Information & Technology Officer (CITO) is a senior member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for shaping and executing the organisation’s technology vision and digital transformation agenda. The role ensures that technology capabilities support business objectives, drive operational excellence, and create a sustainable competitive advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an enterprise‑wide technology strategy aligned with corporate goals and growth plans.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, customer experience and organisational agility.
• Oversee all technology operations, service delivery and performance of enterprise systems, infrastructure and cloud services.
• Define and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy and governance framework.
• Select, implement, integrate and optimise technology solutions across the business.
• Create data strategies, governance policies and business intelligence capabilities.
• Establish technology governance structures and manage the technology budget and investment portfolio.
• Direct the technology project portfolio and build a high‑performing technology organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 20 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 10 years in senior executive leadership.
• Proven experience managing enterprise‑wide technology environments across multiple functions and locations.
• Strong background in cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, cloud transformation and data analytics.
• Experience overseeing large technology budgets and vendor relationships.
