Commercial Manager – Tender & Contracts

About the role

The Commercial Manager is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end tender process and contract administration, ensuring competitive and compliant offers that align with market demands. This role works closely with internal teams and external partners to drive successful bid outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit Pre‑Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs), Invitations to Tender (ITTs) and full tender documents.
• Maintain and update a master bidders list, tracking capabilities, performance and pricing.
• Coordinate tender activities across the business, manage timelines and ensure high‑quality information flow.
• Review tender documentation for compliance with quality policies and customer requirements.
• Research market pricing, benchmark competitors and develop pricing strategies.
• Collaborate with marketing to design professional tender templates and strategies.
• Lead tender meetings, create dashboards to monitor tender history and analyse outcomes.
• Develop and maintain standard contract templates and an internal contract management system.
• Oversee contract distribution, finalisation and post‑award implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years of professional experience, including 4‑7 years in a similar commercial/tender role.
• Strong market awareness and ability to assess commercial risks.
• MBA or Master’s degree in a related field is desirable.
