Commercial Planning & CRM Specialist

About the role

The Commercial Planning & CRM Specialist will support the Global Trade Banking (GTB) teams by managing the CRM system, analysing market trends, and ensuring the execution of commercial strategies. The role bridges data insights with client‑facing activities to drive cross‑selling and upselling opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyse client needs, industry trends and market dynamics.
• Track implementation of approved strategies against predefined metrics and report performance.
• Oversee the CRM platform to maintain accurate client data, pipeline tracking and reporting.
• Train and support GTB teams on CRM best practices, ensuring adoption and compliance.
• Create dashboards and reports to highlight achieved versus budgeted figures and provide insights for senior management.
• Follow up on sector deadlines, timelines and segment reminders within account‑planning cycles.
• Validate full‑plan completion by Relationship Managers (RMs) and Product Managers (PMs) and escalate delays.
• Assist RMs and PMs with the manual Excel‑based account‑planning tool.
• Aggregate and track identified opportunities, manage portfolio allocation and monitor external segment migrations.
• Liaise with Commercial Planning & CRM colleagues to manage handovers and review segmentation rules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• 2‑7 years of experience in the banking or financial services sector.
• Fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Strong understanding of the economic, political and business environment of the region.
• Strategic thinking, excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with corporate CRM platforms.
• Advanced Excel skills for manual account‑planning tools.
• Ability to build and interpret data dashboards.
