Commis Chef – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Join the inaugural Morgans Originals hotel in Egypt as a Commis Chef, supporting senior chefs in delivering high‑quality dishes in a vibrant, lifestyle‑focused environment. You will work hands‑on in a fast‑paced kitchen, ensuring ingredients are prepared, stored, and presented to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior chefs with ingredient preparation, including vegetables, fruits, meats, and other items.
• Execute mise en place tasks and maintain organized workstations.
• Follow recipes and cooking techniques to guarantee consistency and quality.
• Monitor freshness of ingredients, store them correctly, and rotate stock as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
• Support various kitchen stations (starters, mains, pastry) as required.
• Help with plating, food presentation, and timely service delivery.
• Participate in inventory checks and report low stock to senior chefs.
