Communication Operator

About the role

The Communication Operator ensures seamless exchange of information between vessels and on‑shore teams, supporting maritime operations and administrative functions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor communication channels to guarantee proper routing of incoming and outgoing messages.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for ship‑to‑shore communication, relaying weather updates, operational instructions and emergency alerts.
• Maintain detailed logs of all communications, including timestamps, content and recipients.
• Ensure compliance with international maritime laws and AMPTC’s internal policies.
• Coordinate with purchasing, commercial and quality departments to support maritime operations.
• Organise schedules, meetings and correspondence, and prepare reports, documents and presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, logistics or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in operations, administration or coordination.
• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
