Compliance Officer – Payments

About the role

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join our fast‑growing payments team in Sheikh Zayed. You will help ensure that all business activities meet regulatory standards, particularly in KYC and AML, while supporting the broader risk and compliance function.

Key responsibilities

• Execute compliance projects and user‑acceptance testing, meeting milestones and delivering high‑quality results.
• Own, maintain, and annually update policies, procedures, and governance documents.
• Analyze business processes, regulations, and controls to identify root‑cause issues and close control gaps.
• Maintain and deliver compliance and AML management information systems (MIS) reports on time.
• Perform AML transaction monitoring and investigations, documenting and reporting suspicious activity to regulators.
• Provide compliant solutions to business proposals, intervening when necessary and escalating to the Compliance Manager.
• Carry out additional compliance investigations and recommend corrective actions as directed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, risk management, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in compliance risk management, investigations, or a similar discipline.
• Strong knowledge of KYC and AML policies.
• Familiarity with AML systems and data‑analysis tools is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AML monitoring tools.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with data analysis tools for compliance reporting.
