Condition Monitoring Engineer

About the role

The Condition Monitoring Engineer will join the Engineering Department at Sukari Gold Mine to provide professional condition monitoring and engineering support. The role focuses on turning complex asset data into actionable maintenance strategies, reducing unplanned failures and improving overall plant health.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse asset health data using vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, oil sampling and other NDT techniques.
• Interpret raw data trends with engineering software and deliver clear preventive action recommendations to maintenance crews.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations and support defect‑elimination and LEAN initiatives.
• Apply Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles to extend asset lifecycles and assist in calculating plant availability metrics.
• Prepare weekly reliability summaries and monthly health reports for stakeholders.
• Train and coach the electrical team on process control, communication networks and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Recognised professional qualification in Engineering, Reliability or a related field.
• Proven experience in condition monitoring, predictive maintenance or reliability engineering.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical data into practical maintenance actions.
• Excellent written communication for reporting and documentation.
