Condition Monitoring Engineer – Mining Site

About the role

The Condition Monitoring Engineer will provide professional condition monitoring and engineering support for the Sukari gold mine, ensuring early detection of equipment issues and optimizing plant health.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and interpret asset health data using vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, oil sampling and other NDT techniques.
• Analyze trends with engineering software and translate raw data into preventive maintenance actions.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations and support lean initiatives to reduce chronic failures.
• Apply Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles, calculate plant availability metrics and contribute to Preventive Maintenance Optimization reviews.
• Prepare weekly reliability summaries and comprehensive monthly health reports for stakeholders.
• Train and coach the electrical team on process control, safety protocols and hazard reporting.

Required profile

• Recognized professional qualification in Engineering, Reliability or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in condition monitoring, predictive maintenance or reliability engineering within an industrial setting.
• Ability to work on‑site in Marsa Alam on a 20/10 roster.
