Control & Performance Business Consultant (German Speaker) – Manager

About the role

PwC is seeking a Control & Performance Business Consultant who will act as the primary liaison for CFOs and Heads of Controlling, translating strategic goals into actionable financial concepts. The role supports German‑based and multinational clients on their Finance Transformation journeys, working from the PwC Germany team based in Lisbon while serving a global portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in diverse finance projects for clients in Germany and internationally.
• Convert strategic objectives into effective financial concepts for corporate governance.
• Design and optimise planning, controlling and reporting processes to boost efficiency and automation.
• Develop holistic steering models and KPI dashboards for finance and management teams.
• Improve organisational structures and strengthen finance’s role as a business partner.
• Collaborate closely with CFOs and Controlling Heads to ensure alignment and communication.
• Contribute to the overall development of Finance Transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration or a related field with a focus on finance or controlling.
• Passion for business management, digitalisation and automation in controlling.
• Practical experience in controlling or group management; knowledge of consolidation, planning and group reporting tools is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, responsibility and flexibility.
• Fluent in English; German language knowledge is advantageous.
• Comfortable working in interdisciplinary teams and a hybrid remote‑travel setup.
