Control Specialist / SCADA Operator

About the role

The Control Specialist & SCADA Operator will manage and supervise the plant’s automated production processes at the vegetable oil extraction facility in Bourj Al‑Arab, Alexandria. Using Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and SCADA platforms, you will ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation of all critical equipment while adhering to strict food‑safety and occupational‑health standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial processes through the SCADA system, following approved start‑up and shutdown procedures.
• Track and record key parameters such as temperature, pressure, level, flow rate, and electrical current.
• Respond immediately to alarms, system faults, and emergencies, providing preliminary reports to the maintenance team.
• Document production volumes, equipment status, and any deviations in the designated software.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, OSH, environmental, and energy‑management programs.
• Ensure the control area remains clean and coordinate pest‑control activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Age between 24 and 26 years.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation and safety interlocks.
• Ability to work closely with production and maintenance teams.
