Core IP Network Support Senior Specialist

About the role

Vodafone is looking for a Senior Core IP Network Support Specialist to ensure the reliability and performance of its Datacom/CPN infrastructure. You will work 24x7 in a 2nd‑line capacity, handling critical incidents, preventive maintenance and continuous improvement projects across a global IP network.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strong technical support for Datacom/CPN at all operational levels.
• Manage and resolve individual and global complaints related to the Datacom area.
• Initiate and drive quality, availability and measurement improvement actions.
• Perform troubleshooting, analysis and problem resolution for critical network situations.
• Fine‑tune Datacom nodes, apply preventive software correction packages and implement hardware/software upgrades.
• Coordinate with suppliers for support interventions and follow‑up on issues.
• Participate in acceptance testing, feature roll‑outs and system expansions.
• Report network problems, activities and performance metrics to management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IP networking, preferably in a telecom environment.
• Strong knowledge of Service Provider routing and switching (MPLS, VPLS, BGP).
• CCNP SP & MPLS certification is mandatory; CCIE SP level is highly desirable.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
