About the role
Avaya is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its International Legal Team. The role supports business operations across the EMEA region and, when needed, other international markets. You will work closely with sales, services, finance, HR, compliance, and senior management, providing practical, business‑focused legal advice in a fast‑paced technology environment.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, partner, cloud, software, professional services, procurement contracts and NDAs.
- Support corporate governance and entity management across multiple jurisdictions, including board and shareholder matters, corporate approvals and record maintenance.
- Assist in managing disputes, claims and litigation, coordinating with external counsel and internal stakeholders.
- Provide regulatory, compliance and data‑privacy support, conduct legal research and help implement corporate policies.
Required profile
- Legal degree with relevant qualification to practice in at least one EMEA jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in corporate, commercial and regulatory matters within a multinational technology company.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with a focus on risk mitigation.
