Corporate Governance Officer - Compliance

About the role

The Corporate Governance Officer supports the Head of Corporate Governance in maintaining robust governance frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and facilitating effective communication between the board, management, and relevant departments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing governance processes across the bank and provide support to the Head of Corporate Governance.
• Prepare and maintain governance documentation, including meeting agendas, minutes, and reports.
• Develop and enhance the Corporate Governance Self‑Assessment Tool and recommend risk‑mitigation actions.
• Coordinate governance committee meetings, track action items, and follow up on Board of Directors decisions.
• Support the preparation of reports for the Central Bank of Egypt and other regulatory bodies.
• Review and manage cases related to conflicts of interest and related‑party transactions.
• Organise training and professional development programs for board members.
• Provide administrative support to the corporate governance team, managing schedules and records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in legal or governance functions.
• Basic understanding of legal and governance principles.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
