Cost Manager – SAP Costing & Inventory Valuation

About the role

The Cost Manager will lead all cost accounting activities with a strong focus on SAP‑based costing, inventory valuation and financial integration. You will ensure accurate product costing, support operational efficiency and provide strategic insights to improve profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costing within SAP (Material Ledger / Product Costing) and ensure accurate cost roll‑ups for BOMs, routing, labor and overhead.
• Manage and optimise SAP CO and SAP MM modules, execute standard cost runs, variance calculations and settlement processes.
• Oversee inventory valuation in SAP, ensure compliance with IFRS/local GAAP, lead physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Perform detailed SAP‑based variance analysis (price, usage, mix, yield) and prepare monthly costing reports using SAP and BI tools.
• Provide cost data and assumptions for budgeting and forecasting cycles, tracking actual vs. standard costs.
• Partner with production, procurement and supply‑chain teams to optimise costs and support pricing decisions.
• Ensure costing practices comply with IFRS and internal policies, supporting internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 7‑10+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Professional certification (CMA, CPA, ACCA) preferred.
