Costing Accountant Section Head

About the role

The paints industry leader is seeking a Costing Accountant Section Head to lead the costing function. You will be responsible for analysing material and production costs, preparing reports, and supporting strategic decisions that drive profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Submit reports analysing raw material costs.
• Review production batches, inventory transactions and closing reports from operations.
• Collect and analyse data to determine product costs.
• Prepare costing reports and compare planned versus actual production costs.
• Maintain fixed‑assets reports and depreciation analysis.
• Monitor the cycle‑count process and determine standard costs.
• Investigate cost variances and prepare periodic and ad‑hoc reports.
• Support management with cost‑benefit analyses for market growth, pricing changes, etc.
• Create and manage budgets, monitoring spending and process changes.
• Estimate costs for existing and new products, forecast labour and inventory expenses.
• Identify and propose cost‑reduction or profit‑enhancing solutions.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience as a Senior Cost Accountant or Cost Analyst.
• Industrial background is mandatory.
• Experience with ERP system Odoo is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Odoo ERP.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office.
