Country Manager – Egypt (FMCG)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Country Manager to lead our FMCG client’s expansion in Egypt. The role is highly entrepreneurial, requiring you to build distribution networks from scratch, strengthen existing channels, and drive growth across personal care and home care categories.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and onboard suitable importers and distributors to enable market entry in new geographies.
• Navigate regulatory requirements and secure necessary approvals.
• Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies tailored to each channel (General Trade, Modern Trade, Wholesale, E‑Commerce).
• Negotiate pricing, margins, trade investments and partnership agreements with key partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with retailers, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product and marketing teams to optimise portfolio and drive category visibility.
• Own revenue, profitability and market development targets, tracking performance and implementing corrective actions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in FMCG business development, export sales, distribution or category management.
• Proven track record of launching brands and expanding distribution networks.
• Strong network of importers, distributors, wholesalers and trade partners in Egypt.
• Deep understanding of General Trade, Modern Trade, Wholesale, E‑Commerce and Quick‑Commerce channels.
• Hands‑on experience in distributor onboarding, trade negotiations and Joint Business Plan execution.

Required skills
