Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

The Cybersecurity Engineer will protect Orascom Development Egypt’s technology environment by handling security incidents, managing tickets, and supporting a wide range of security tools. You will work closely with IT, network, cloud, and vendor teams as well as the SOC to ensure a resilient security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support EDR/XDR platforms, firewalls, IDS/IPS, email security, vulnerability management and cloud security tools.
• Operate Microsoft security suite including Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Cloud, Entra ID, Intune and related Microsoft 365 controls.
• Monitor platform health, coverage, licensing and availability; troubleshoot integration gaps.
• Investigate alerts, contain incidents, perform remediation and support root‑cause analysis.
• Manage cybersecurity tickets in the ITSM system, ensuring proper prioritisation, documentation and closure.
• Implement security changes such as firewall rules, endpoint policies, threat indicators and configuration updates.
• Support CSPM, DAST, SAST, API security and CI/CD security integrations.
• Integrate log sources with SIEM, work with outsourced SOC and maintain technical documentation and metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Communications Engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity operations or engineering.
• Proven ability to handle security incidents and work in a collaborative, multi‑team environment.
