Data Analyst

About the role

Dubizzle Egypt is the leading online classifieds marketplace in the region, with more than 123 million monthly users across five brands. As a Data Analyst you will evangelise data and its methodologies to other analysts and stakeholders, working closely with marketing, sales, finance and product teams in a fast-paced, international and entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Access data, build and manipulate large datasets with SQL, Python and similar tools to support planned analyses.
• Design and develop BI dashboards in Sisense or similar tools (Tableau, PowerBI, DataStudio) for metrics such as finance, sales and inventory.
• Help define KPI metrics and drive data governance through standardisation and communication.
• Create documentation and presentations for management, and write reports and present findings.
• Research and validate entity data, and liaise on projects in the Reference Data environment.
• Analyse, test and implement interfaces, workflows and reference data solutions, including regression testing before upgrades.
• Take part in designing, running and interpreting experiments and trials, and in analytics and reporting training.
• Ensure data quality and timely delivery of reports that make business sense, and work autonomously.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• At least 3 years of analytics experience, closely with products and commerce in an internet or e-commerce company.
• Experience in e-commerce, internet and/or digital media.
• Excellent written and spoken English, strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills, and ability to work independently and proactively.

Required skills

• Extensive SQL experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Periscope or Tableau.
• Python, R or similar tools, and statistical packages (SPSS, SAS) are a big plus.
