Data Privacy Specialist

About the role

The Data Privacy Specialist will support the Privacy Officer in building, monitoring and improving Majid Al Futtaim's data protection framework. This operational role works across functions to ensure compliance with UAE PDPL, Egypt PDPL, GDPR and other applicable privacy laws.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the organization’s privacy policies, guidance and framework.
• Identify, assess, monitor and mitigate personal data protection risks.
• Conduct privacy assessments such as DPIAs, IDPAs, vendor due‑diligence, transfer impact assessments and contract reviews.
• Manage Data Subject Requests (access, deletion, correction, consent withdrawal).
• Maintain governance artefacts including ROPAs, data mapping, consent management and privacy tools.
• Act as a privacy subject‑matter expert for stakeholders, regulators and business development projects.
• Deliver privacy training, support breach and incident handling, and contribute to reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Compliance, Information Security, Business or a related field (preferred).
• 1‑3 years of experience with data privacy regulations (UAE/ Egypt PDPL, GDPR).
• Experience using privacy management platforms such as Securiti.ai or OneTrust.
• Strong knowledge of privacy assessments, ROPA documentation, data discovery and third‑party risk evaluation.
• Understanding of privacy contracts and frameworks (DPAs, TIAs, SCCs, DSAs, MSAs, PIAs).
• Stakeholder management and problem‑solving abilities; privacy certifications (CIPP/E, CIPP/M, CIPT) are a plus.
