Data Scientist Lead

About the role

EVA Pharma, a pharmaceutical company dedicated to advancing health and well-being, is looking for a Data Scientist Lead to join its team in Giza. The role leads and mentors data scientists and owns the end-to-end data science lifecycle, from problem framing to production deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor junior and mid-level data scientists through regular feedback, code reviews and technical guidance.
• Define and enforce technical standards and best practices across modeling, experimentation, documentation and deployment.
• Own the full data science lifecycle, from problem framing and data exploration to modeling, validation and production deployment.
• Design and deliver machine learning and predictive models aligned with business priorities, working with product, engineering and business stakeholders.
• Review and approve modeling approaches and performance metrics, translate insights for non-technical audiences, support team growth and promote emerging AI/ML techniques.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in data science and machine learning, with proven team leadership and mentoring experience.
• Proven experience deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production environments.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Strong Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost and LightGBM.
• Solid foundation in statistics, experimentation design and model evaluation.
