About the role
The Demi Chef de Partie will support the kitchen team in preparing high‑quality meals for guests at Sheraton Soma Bay Resort. This full‑time position involves both hot and cold food preparation while maintaining strict safety and presentation standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold dishes according to recipes.
- Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Thaw frozen items in refrigeration units and ensure proper portioning and garnish.
- Maintain food logs, monitor quality and quantity, and communicate specials to service staff.
- Assist with inventory control by informing the Chef of excess items for daily specials.
- Follow all safety, security, and hygiene policies, reporting any incidents.
Required profile
- Technical or vocational culinary education.
- At least 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
- Ability to work standing for long periods and lift up to 25 lb.
- Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
