Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry

About the role

Accor is looking for a talented Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry to join its culinary team in Cairo. You will work in a five‑star hotel kitchen, creating high‑quality desserts and pastries that enhance the guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and produce pastry items, desserts, breads, ice creams, sorbets and decorative pieces following standardized recipes.
• Develop new pastry recipes and presentations while maintaining consistency in taste and quality.
• Maintain a clean, efficient and well‑stocked pastry kitchen, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the Pastry Chef and kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of pastry items.
• Guide junior team members in pastry techniques and culinary skills.
• Assist with inventory control, stock rotation and ordering of pastry ingredients.

Required profile

• Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high‑end hotel or restaurant.
• Extensive knowledge of pastry preparation, including breakfast pastries, desserts, breads, ice creams, sorbets and decorative items.
• Strong presentation skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in English and a collaborative, customer‑focused mindset.
