Deputy Regional Director – Management (Senior Leadership)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a Deputy Regional Director (Management) to support the Regional Director in overseeing all management functions of the Regional Office in Cairo. This senior position provides strategic advice and operational leadership across finance, human resources, ICT, supply chain, risk and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the Regional Strategic Plan in line with IOM’s global strategy.
• Oversee budget preparation, financial controls, and resource mobilization for the region.
• Supervise Finance, Human Resources, ICT, Supply Chain Management and Change Management units.
• Ensure compliance with IOM policies, internal controls and risk‑management frameworks.
• Liaise with governments, UN agencies, donors and partners on resource‑management matters.
• Review organisational structures, recommend adjustments and monitor spending against approved allocations.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in management, finance, HR or supply‑chain functions within an international organization.
• Proven ability to provide strategic advice to senior leadership and to represent the organization at high‑level meetings.
• Strong understanding of public‑sector budgeting, procurement and risk‑management processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
