Deputy Seizures & Reservations Manager - Legal

About the role
The Deputy Seizures & Reservations Manager – Legal will lead the Seizures & Reservations team within a banking environment, ensuring flawless execution of legal and operational processes related to asset seizures and reservation orders.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee team workflow to guarantee 100 % accuracy and zero‑error execution.
- Conduct precise customer profile searches in English on core banking systems.
- Manage all reservation‑related court cases, draft defence memoranda and represent the bank at judicial hearings.
- Review and approve complex legal opinions and responses before finalisation.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for critical inquiries from the Central Bank, courts and tax authorities.
- Maintain active registration at Courts of Appeal.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years of banking‑related legal experience.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB); an English‑section degree is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations, court procedures and reservation mechanisms.
