Digital Designer – Marketing & Communications

About the role

The University’s Office of Marketing Communication and Public Affairs is seeking a Digital Designer to create compelling visual assets that support its marketing and communication initiatives. You will work across digital and print channels to engage prospective students, alumni, faculty, staff and external audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑quality digital and multimedia assets for campaigns, social media, websites, email and motion graphics, ensuring usability, accessibility and device optimization.
• Create platform‑specific graphics and layouts for print collateral while maintaining brand consistency.
• Collaborate with marketing, communications, web, content and academic teams to deliver integrated digital solutions.
• Stay current with emerging design trends, technologies and best practices to continuously improve creative output.
• Uphold the university’s visual identity across all digital touchpoints and contribute to the evolution of its digital presence.
• Provide guidance on design best practices, user experience and accessibility to colleagues and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design, communications, advertising, marketing or a related field.
• 5–7 years of professional experience in digital and print design.
• Strong mastery of design principles, layout, typography, colour and visual hierarchy.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
• AI‑driven design tools such as Canva or Figma.
• Web‑based publishing and email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp, Constant Contact).
• Basic understanding of web UI, CMS and responsive design principles.
