Direct Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Direct Procurement Specialist will manage the end‑to‑end procurement and supply processes for raw materials and packaging in a fast‑moving consumer goods environment. The role ensures material availability, cost efficiency and compliance while monitoring supplier performance and mitigating risks.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound shipments, monitor delivery schedules and handle import clearance with required regulatory approvals.
• Maintain accurate inventory, purchase order, pricing and supplier master data in Oracle ERP.
• Execute procurement transactions and ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Manage Non‑Conformance Reports, drive corrective actions with suppliers and uphold quality standards.
• Build and sustain strong supplier relationships to guarantee continuity and address delivery risks.
• Communicate potential supply risks to internal stakeholders and act as the operational interface between suppliers and internal teams.
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs such as OTIF, quality and responsiveness.
• Lead procurement‑related projects to achieve timely execution, cost optimisation and quality compliance.
• Analyse performance data, identify improvement opportunities and support continuous vendor development.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement metrics, cost variances and operational risks for management review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, commerce, engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of direct procurement experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar industry.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Experience sourcing raw materials and packaging for food/FMCG production.
• Good understanding of procurement best practices, supply‑chain operations and vendor management.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic.
