Dispensing Pharmacist

About the role

Arcera, a global life sciences company developing, manufacturing and commercializing medicines, is hiring a Dispensing Pharmacist for its Cairo site in Al Obour City, Egypt. The role ensures the accurate, safe and timely dispensing and weighing of raw materials according to approved batch manufacturing records, production plans and GMP requirements, while maintaining material traceability, preventing cross-contamination and complying with approved procedures and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review approved batch manufacturing records and dispensing instructions before starting dispensing activities.
• Verify material release status and ensure quarantined, rejected, expired or unauthorized materials are not dispensed.
• Check the identity, material code, batch number, inspection lots and required quantity of each raw material.
• Ensure the dispensing room and equipment are ready, including line clearance, cleanliness and environmental conditions.
• Use calibrated and qualified balances and weighing equipment, and follow PPE and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Perform or supervise dispensing and weighing of raw materials according to approved procedures.
• Ensure correct labeling of dispensed materials and maintain segregation to prevent mix-ups and cross-contamination.
• Complete dispensing records accurately in line with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and support audits and inspections.
• Take part in CAPA implementation related to dispensing activities when assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Good command of English, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of GMP and GDP requirements.
