Duty Manager

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Duty Manager to join our Fairmont hotel in Cairo. The role ensures smooth daily operations and delivers exceptional guest experiences across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the front‑office team, fostering a collaborative, customer‑focused environment.
• Oversee day‑to‑day hotel operations, maintaining high service standards and efficiency.
• Manage guest relations, promptly addressing concerns to enhance satisfaction.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, food & beverage, and other departments to ensure seamless communication.
• Monitor room rates, occupancy and overbooking strategies to optimise revenue.
• Prepare and analyse performance reports and key indicators.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations and safety standards.
• Handle emergency situations and make critical decisions as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar hospitality role.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation with a friendly, empathetic approach.
• Detail‑oriented, able to multitask under pressure.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Financial Acumen for rate and overbooking management.
• Proficiency with front‑desk operating systems, specifically Opera.
• Understanding of Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
