Duty/Night Manager

About the role

The Duty/Night Manager oversees hotel operations during the evening and night shifts, ensuring consistent service quality, safety, and guest satisfaction. This full‑time, on‑site position requires close coordination with front office, housekeeping, security, and food & beverage teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise front office activities, including night audit, late check‑ins and early departures.
• Monitor occupancy levels and manage financial transactions, reports and handovers.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, security and F&B to resolve guest requests, concerns and incidents promptly.
• Conduct regular property walkthroughs and maintain a visible presence in public areas.
• Enforce hotel policies, support emergency procedures and ensure safety standards.
• Provide guidance, training and performance support to staff on the shift and communicate operational issues to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel operations and front office management, preferably as a Duty or Night Manager.
• Strong supervisory and team‑leadership abilities, with experience in shift scheduling.
• Excellent customer service, conflict‑resolution and complaint‑handling skills.
• Fluent English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
• Ability to manage emergencies, apply safety procedures and exercise sound judgment.
• Willingness to work night shifts, weekends and holidays as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel management systems (e.g., OPERA).
• Experience using reservation platforms.
• Ability to generate basic reports using reporting tools.
