EHS & Quality Specialist

About the role

The EHS & Quality Specialist ensures that manufacturing operations meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental health and safety (EHS) expectations. The role supports continuous improvement, audits, supplier quality, customer inspections, and employee safety programs across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Quality Plans and Quality Control Plans.
• Implement the Quality Management System, including inspections, calibrations, procedures, and instructions.
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers and sourcing teams to resolve vendor‑related quality issues.
• Issue non‑conformities, track corrective actions, and ensure timely closure.
• Lead pre‑inspection meetings and support customers during factory witness inspections.
• Oversee internal processes such as NCRs and internal audits, ensuring data accuracy and effective corrective actions.
• Develop site programs that promote employee engagement and a strong EHS culture.
• Ensure compliance with GE Vernova EHS policies, standards, and applicable regulations.
• Support cluster leaders in implementing the GE Vernova EHS framework.
• Supervise employee HSE training and conduct initial general HSE training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Electrical or Electronics.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Control or EHS.
• Knowledge of quality and EHS management systems and problem‑solving methodologies.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English, Arabic, and French.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across North Africa.
