Electric Generator Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Electric Generator Maintenance Engineer to join a strategic project in Egypt's New Administrative Capital. The role involves hands‑on maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of diesel generator sets and their control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on diesel generators, including oil changes, filter replacements, and coolant checks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults such as start‑up failures and unexpected shutdowns.
• Conduct detailed testing and diagnostic procedures on a variety of generator models.
• Install, configure, and program specialized controllers (Deepsea, ComAp, Datakom, Emko).
• Commission and test generator synchronization panels.
• Supervise on‑site installation, commissioning, and initial start‑up of generator units.
• Ensure strict compliance with site engineering standards and military security protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine mechanics, power generation systems, and control‑panel automation.
• 2–4 years of proven field experience with Deepsea, ComAp, Datakom, or Emko controller units.
• Ability to follow rigorous safety and military security procedures.
