Electrical Design Senior Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Design Senior Engineer will lead the electrical engineering activities for process equipment, utility systems, and overall plant infrastructure. You will be responsible for creating and reviewing detailed electrical designs, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting installation and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review single‑line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring layouts, and panel layouts.
• Perform electrical load calculations, define cable sizes, and select appropriate protection equipment.
• Design and oversee MV/LV distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, and MCC panels.
• Collaborate with the automation team to define electrical connections for PLCs, SCADA systems, VFDs, and sensors.
• Monitor site installation works for compliance with drawings, safety standards, and project requirements.
• Provide technical support during cold tests, energisation checks, and motor rotation checks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience on industrial plant projects.
• Knowledge of MV/LV systems, motor control, and industrial machinery safety.
• Preferred experience in metallurgy, chemical plants, energy, or heavy industry.

Required skills

• AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Microsoft Excel and general MS Office proficiency.
• Siemens SCADA programming / interfaces.
• Electrical load calculations.
• Cable sizing and protection equipment selection.
• Design of MV/LV distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, and MCC panels.
• Integration of PLCs, VFDs, and sensors.
