Electrical Technician

About the role

Knauf is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join the production team at its Suez plant. You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, ensuring reliable operation of machinery and automation equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform periodic inspections and preventive maintenance to avoid unplanned breakdowns.
• Install, test, repair and maintain power supply wiring, conduit, and new equipment according to electrical codes and schematics.
• Monitor, adjust and troubleshoot automation systems, PLCs, instrumentation and industrial control signals.
• Diagnose faults in motors, inverters/drives, lighting systems and replace faulty components such as relays, contactors, circuit breakers, switches, sensors and motors.
• Repair or replace electronic components, including printed circuit boards.
• Record electrical measurements, prepare daily reports for line management and log working hours in the SAP system.
• Support implementation of annual investment plans and collaborate closely with the maintenance team and other departments.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and teamwork.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, manuals and schematic diagrams.

Required skills

• Electrical maintenance and fault‑finding.
• Automation systems and PLC troubleshooting.
• Experience with SINAMICS, TIA Portal and Siemens S7.
• Knowledge of motors, inverters/drives and lighting systems.
• Proficiency with SAP for time‑keeping and reporting.
