English Teacher & Head of Department (Academic Year 26-27)

About the role

Westview International Language School is looking for a qualified English Teacher who will also take on the responsibility of Head of Department for the academic year 26-27. This dual role combines classroom teaching with strategic leadership of the English department.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the English Department to ensure high‑quality teaching and learning.
• Develop, implement, and monitor the English curriculum in line with school standards.
• Support, mentor, and evaluate English teachers through coaching, lesson observations, and performance feedback.
• Monitor student progress and introduce strategies to improve outcomes.
• Ensure consistent planning, teaching, assessment, and curriculum delivery across all grades.
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and positive learning environment.
• Coordinate departmental meetings and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.
• Work closely with the School Leadership Team to achieve strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in German Language, Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching German and in a leadership role, preferably as Head of Department.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to motivate and inspire both students and staff.
• Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation.
