Equities and Portfolio Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an Equities and Portfolio Analyst to drive investment decision‑making through advanced financial modelling, rigorous valuations and actionable recommendations. The role also involves mentoring junior analysts and working closely with portfolio managers to enhance investment strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate equity investment opportunities.
• Conduct company valuations using DCF, residual income and relative valuation methods.
• Perform in‑depth financial, industry and macro‑economic analysis to support investment decisions.
• Prepare investment reports, presentations and recommendations for senior management and investment committees.
• Maintain relationships with company management and investor‑relations teams to verify guidance and operational outlooks.
• Utilise Bloomberg and Refinitiv terminals for data gathering, analysis and comparable company screens.
• Develop multi‑factor and quantitative screening models for stock selection.
• Analyse capital structure, earnings quality and cash‑flow sustainability of listed companies.
• Support asset‑allocation decisions across equity portfolios.
• Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, geopolitical events and economic indicators that affect portfolio performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in investment banking research (sell‑side or buy‑side).
• Professional certification such as CFA or progress toward the designation is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Bloomberg terminal.
• Proficiency with Refinitiv terminal.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation expertise.
