Exam Proctor

About the role

The International School of Choueifat in Cairo is looking for an Exam Proctor to ensure that examinations are carried out in line with SABIS regulations and to give students a positive, supportive exam experience. The role sits in the Administration department and covers the organisation, supervision and security of exam sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the examination process and make sure testing facilities are available at the scheduled time.
• Prepare facilities, seating plans and classrooms, keeping exam locations quiet and well maintained.
• Ensure privacy and confidentiality by securing exam subjects, materials and completed tests.
• Report issues, irregularities and concerns raised in weekly meetings to management with corrective measures.
• Inspect exam facilities and check that supplies such as exam papers and equipment for computer-based sessions are available.
• Prepare teachers' proctoring timetables and maintain a quiet environment during exams.
• Check that students follow the seating plan and that exam subjects are securely stored before the exam starts.
• Proctor exam sessions in classes and computerised exam halls.
• Collect and archive exams confidentially and prepare reports for the administration on any irregularities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• English proficiency; Arabic is a plus.
• Professional behaviour and ethical conduct.
• Communication skills and ability to work within a team.
• Must meet employment requirements, including country and local education and certification requirements, reference checks and criminal background checks.
