Export Sales Specialist

About the role

ABB is looking for an Export Sales Specialist to drive growth for its Automation Business Area in Egypt and across North & Central Africa. You will manage the full sales cycle, build strong customer relationships, and ensure compliance with ABB’s sales and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve qualitative and quantitative sales targets, increasing order volume, revenue, profitability, market share and customer satisfaction.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to order placement, both technically and commercially.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date sales forecast and pipeline using Salesforce.
• Conduct regular customer visits, develop relationships with EPC contractors, OEM partners and solution builders.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to adapt sales strategy.
• Develop and manage channel partners, creating business plans for new sales channels.
• Ensure compliance with ABB sales tools, export trade regulations, HSE and integrity guidelines.
• Travel more than 50% of the time to African countries for customer engagements.

Required profile

• Engineering bachelor’s degree (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, etc.).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in field instrumentation, process analytics and export business.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a strong plus for the region.
• Proficient with MS‑Office, SharePoint and MS Teams.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or SAP) and CRM tools (Salesforce).
