External Audit Senior Manager – Cairo

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Manager to lead complex external audit engagements at its Cairo hub. You will shape audit strategy, ensure high‑quality delivery, and build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute audit strategies in line with EY policies.
• Lead and perform complex audit procedures on large engagements.
• Manage staffing, track fees, and communicate financial aspects of projects.
• Identify and escalate audit risks while fostering a learning culture.
• Mentor junior team members and support their professional development.
• Participate in business development and client acquisition initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum nine years of external audit experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA).
• Experience in risk‑based audit processes and coaching junior staff.
• Background working in the MENA region and fluency in Arabic.
