Fabric Data Engineer Manager

About the role

PwC is seeking a senior manager to lead the design and delivery of data solutions using Microsoft Fabric. The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, lakehouses, and analytics platforms that turn raw data into actionable insights for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable data pipelines with Microsoft Fabric components such as Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Eventstreams, and Synapse Data Engineering.
• Build and maintain lakehouses and warehouses in OneLake, ensuring performance, scalability, and governance compliance.
• Collaborate with business and analytics teams to translate requirements into reliable datasets for reporting and advanced analytics.
• Develop and optimise PySpark notebooks for data transformation and machine‑learning workflows within Fabric.
• Support Power BI semantic models and enable real‑time or near‑real‑time analytics.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and observability using Microsoft Purview or native Fabric monitoring.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage deployment of Fabric artifacts through DevOps practices.
• Work closely with data architects, analysts, and platform engineers to evolve the modern data architecture roadmap.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in data and analytics engineering.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver complex data solutions.
