Fabric Data Engineer - Senior Associate

About the role

PwC is looking for a Fabric Data Engineer - Senior Associate to join its advisory technology team in Cairo. The role focuses on designing and building data infrastructure and systems, including data pipelines, integration and transformation solutions, using Microsoft Fabric and Azure services. It suits professionals with 4-6 years of experience in cloud data engineering within the Microsoft ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric cloud architecture
• Design and develop data pipelines with Azure Synapse, Synapse Spark, Azure Data Factory or Synapse Pipelines
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions in consulting or professional services environments
• Apply CI/CD best practices using Azure DevOps and Git
• Build and maintain data models aligned with Data Mesh, Data Warehouse and Lakehouse architectures
• Write optimized code in T-SQL, PySpark, Python, Scala, Power Query M or DAX
• Build interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI and automate workflows with Power Automate Apps
• Ensure data security and identity management with a basic understanding of Microsoft Entra

Required profile

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and cloud architecture
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure-based data services
• Strong SQL (T-SQL) and PySpark skills
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control and agile development
• Experience with Power BI, Power Automate and scripting languages such as Python and Scala
• Preferred: consulting experience, strong analytical thinking, excellent communication and collaboration, and passion for continuous learning in cloud data technologies
