Facility Manager

About the role

The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multiple properties, ensuring that buildings, common areas, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards. This role acts as the primary liaison between internal teams, external contractors, and city residents.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of properties, including maintenance of buildings, common areas, and grounds.
• Directly supervise external contractors to ensure compliance with company standards and maintenance agreements.
• Resolve issues with in‑house and external contractors, prioritising maintenance, housekeeping, landscaping, and customer service needs.
• Schedule and supervise maintenance, landscaping, housekeeping, and security plans; assist with area inspections.
• Coordinate with related departments to maintain workflow and ensure health and safety legislation compliance.
• Collaborate with the Head of District to develop emergency awareness processes and policies.
• Manage and analyse call‑center tasks, identify success areas and implement corrective actions.
• Respond to resident complaints, act as owner representative, and liaise with corporate offices.
• Identify cost‑saving measures, manage the facilities budget, and serve as main contact for internal and external customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience with real‑estate developers or consultancy firms.
• Proven experience in property management (residential, commercial, or hotels).
• Strong knowledge of maintenance, housekeeping, and security practices.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
