Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will join Sanad Partners in Cairo, overseeing the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of all financial reporting and accounting processes across the group’s holding entities. This full‑time, on‑site position is responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, managing the general ledger and ensuring compliance with Egyptian GAAP and IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Own the chart of accounts, accounting policies and treatment decisions for all entities.
• Lead the monthly close process, review trial balances and produce consolidated group accounts with inter‑company eliminations.
• Prepare board‑ready financial reporting packs in coordination with FP&A.
• Coordinate external audits, manage tax filings and oversee VAT, withholding and income tax obligations.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets and forecasts, performing variance and trend analysis.
• Design, enforce and periodically review the authority matrix and internal control framework.
• Develop and mentor the Accounting Manager and specialist accountants.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) with several years of experience in controllership.
• Proven ability to apply Egyptian GAAP and IFRS in complex group structures.
• Strong audit and tax compliance experience, including interaction with tax authorities.
• Excellent analytical mindset and ability to communicate financial insights to senior stakeholders.
