Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller for Egypt will ensure Kerry meets its financial compliance obligations across all Egyptian legal entities while safeguarding group assets through robust financial controls. Reporting to the Finance Director for Compliance and Control (MISA Region), the role works closely with corporate functions, auditors, consultants and the Group Country Compliance team.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with Group policies in reporting, tax, treasury, insurance, company secretarial and legal areas.
• Lead and develop the Egypt Financial Control team, fostering collaboration with Global Business Services.
• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, statutory forecasts and year‑end reporting packs.
• Manage fixed assets, IFRS16 lease processes and the Record‑to‑Report cycle, including reconciliations.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow and partner with Treasury to manage financial risks.
• Act as Site Risk Coordinator, completing internal control self‑assessments.
• Support M&A due diligence, integration and completion accounts.
• Partner with regional tax teams on VAT, withholding tax, transfer pricing and customs compliance.
• Oversee treasury activities, insurance submissions and payroll tax compliance.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or CA) with 6‑10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian statutory requirements, audit, direct and indirect tax.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Demonstrated P&L management and commercial acumen.
• Experience in process improvement and standardisation.
